Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in North Sydney Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (18,641 people or 45.3%)
  • Managers (9,403 people or 22.8%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (4,803 people or 11.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 32,847 people in total or 79.8% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 29.3% in Professionals; 15.2% in Managers; and 13.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of North Sydney Council area and Greater Sydney were:
