Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (212,195 males or 16.8%)
  • Manufacturing (131,729 males or 10.4%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (123,627 males or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 467,551 males in total or 37.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 13.1% in Construction; 6.9% in Manufacturing; and 7.3% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
