Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) in 2021 compared to Growth LGAs in Queensland shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 38.5% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.8% were one-parent families, compared with 32.0% and 13.6% respectively for Growth LGAs in Queensland.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children.
