Dominant groups

Analysis of individual income levels in the Shire of Mundaring in 2021 compared to Parkerville - Stoneville - Hovea shows that there was a lower proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) as well as a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 14.3% of the population earned a high income, and 31.1% earned a low income, compared with 17.5% and 31.6% respectively for Parkerville - Stoneville - Hovea.

The major differences between the Shire of Mundaring's individual incomes and Parkerville - Stoneville - Hovea's individual incomes were:

  • A smaller percentage of persons who earned $2,000 - $2,999 (8.7% compared to 10.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons who earned Negative Income/ Nil income (8.3% compared to 9.4%)
