Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Meadows and District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (145 people or 13.6%)
  • Construction (129 people or 12.1%)
  • Retail Trade (111 people or 10.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 385 people in total or 36.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the Mount Barker District Council employed 15.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.8% in Construction; and 10.5% in Retail Trade.
