Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Mornington in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (2,435 people or 21.8%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (1,707 people or 15.3%)
  • Managers (1,674 people or 15.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 5,816 people in total or 52.0% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Rye - Tootgarook - St Andrews Beach employed 18.9% in Professionals; 20.2% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 14.4% in Managers.
