Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Green Wedge in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (548 people or 13.9%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (409 people or 10.4%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (376 people or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,333 people in total or 33.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Mornington Peninsula Shire employed 14.3% in Construction; 13.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 1.6% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Green Wedge and Mornington Peninsula Shire were:
