Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Mount Martha in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,345 people or 14.3%)
  • Construction (1,215 people or 12.9%)
  • Education and Training (1,001 people or 10.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,561 people in total or 37.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Mornington Peninsula Shire employed 13.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.3% in Construction; and 9.0% in Education and Training.
