Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Hastings in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (501 females or 24.3%)
  • Retail Trade (294 females or 14.3%)
  • Education and Training (211 females or 10.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,006 females in total or 48.8% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Mornington Peninsula Shire employed 23.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.3% in Retail Trade; and 13.8% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Hastings and Mornington Peninsula Shire were:
