Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Mornington in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (1,340 males or 24.2%)
  • Manufacturing (513 males or 9.3%)
  • Retail Trade (450 males or 8.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,303 males in total or 41.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Mornington Peninsula Shire employed 24.1% in Construction; 9.0% in Manufacturing; and 7.9% in Retail Trade.

The major difference between the jobs held by the male population of Mornington and Mornington Peninsula Shire was:
