Dominant groups

Analysis of female individual income levels in Mornington Peninsula Shire in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a lower proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a similar proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 7.3% of the female population earned a high income, and 37.1% earned a low income, compared with 9.1% and 37.5% respectively for Greater Melbourne.

The major differences between Mornington Peninsula Shire's female individual incomes and Greater Melbourne's female individual incomes were:
