Analysis of car ownership in 2016, indicates 25% of households in Brunswick East had access to two or more motor vehicles, compared to 37% in the City of Moreland.

The ability of the population to access services and employment is strongly influenced by access to transport. Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Brunswick East in 2016 compared to the City of Moreland shows that 74.2% of the households owned at least one car, while 17.5% did not, compared with 79.0% and 13.0% respectively in the City of Moreland.
