Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Essendon in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (552 people or 21.7%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (412 people or 16.2%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (342 people or 13.4%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,306 people in total or 51.2% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, the City of Moonee Valley employed 29.3% in Professionals; 15.4% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 10.2% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
