There were more male professionals in the City of Monash in 2021 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Monash in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (14,769 males or 30.3%)
- Managers (7,986 males or 16.4%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (7,255 males or 14.9%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 30,010 males in total or 61.7% of the employed male resident population.
In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 23.6% in Professionals; 16.1% in Managers; and 19.3% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the City of Monash and Greater Melbourne were:
- A larger percentage of males employed as Professionals (30.3% compared to 23.6%)
