There were more male professionals in Chadstone in 2016 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Chadstone in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (580 males or 26.5%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (399 males or 18.3%)
- Managers (358 males or 16.4%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,337 males in total or 61.2% of the employed male resident population.
In comparison, City of Monash employed 29.0% in Professionals; 15.9% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 16.9% in Managers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Chadstone and City of Monash were:
