Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Chadstone in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (510 females or 21.4%)
  • Education and Training (299 females or 12.6%)
  • Retail Trade (253 females or 10.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,062 females in total or 44.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Monash employed 20.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.8% in Education and Training; and 10.9% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Chadstone and the City of Monash were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in financial and insurance services (7.1% compared to 5.5%)
