Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Hughesdale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (597 people or 14.3%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (561 people or 13.4%)
  • Education and Training (427 people or 10.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,585 people in total or 37.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Clayton employed 14.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 10.3% in Education and Training.
