Brunswick East's employment statistics are an important indicator of socio-economic status. The size of Brunswick East's female labour force in 2021 was 5,237, of which 1,708 were employed part-time and 3,009 were full time workers.
Analysis of the female employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Brunswick East in 2021 compared to Gowanbrae shows that there was a similar proportion in employment, as well as a similar proportion unemployed. Overall, 96.2% of the female labour force was employed, and 3.8% unemployed, compared with 95.9% and 4.1% respectively for Gowanbrae.
Analysis of the labour force participation rate of the female population in Brunswick East in 2021 shows that there was a higher proportion in the labour force (76.1%) compared with Gowanbrae (62.3%).
