Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Melville in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (9,209 people or 36.1%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (5,167 people or 20.2%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (3,456 people or 13.5%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 17,832 people in total or 69.8% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, City of Canning - Total females employed 28.5% in Professionals; 17.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 19.0% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by females in the City of Melville and City of Canning - Total females were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (36.1% compared to 28.5%)
