Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Persian/Dari speaking resident population in City of Melville in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (197 people or 47.4%)
- Managers (57 people or 13.7%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (40 people or 9.6%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 294 people in total or 70.7% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Greater Perth employed 31.2% in Professionals; 9.0% in Managers; and 16.7% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the Persian/Dari speaking population of the City of Melville and Greater Perth were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Professionals (47.4% compared to 31.2%)
- A larger percentage of people employed as Managers (13.7% compared to 9.0%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (9.6% compared to 16.7%)
