Analysis of the car ownership of the households in South East Melville in 2021 compared to the City of Canada Bay shows that 95.1% of the households owned at least one car, while 3.0% did not, compared with 86.0% and 10.1% respectively in the City of Canada Bay.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 29.3% of the households owned one car; 45.2% owned two cars; and 20.6% owned three cars or more, compared with 44.2%; 31.0% and 10.8% respectively for the City of Canada Bay.
