Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Aintree in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (649 people or 16.6%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (503 people or 12.8%)
  • Construction (386 people or 9.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,538 people in total or 39.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Cobblebank employed 14.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 16.8% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 9.5% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Aintree and Cobblebank were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in financial and insurance services (5.1% compared to 2.7%)
