Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Melton in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (325 people or 12.2%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (325 people or 12.2%)
  • Retail Trade (301 people or 11.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 951 people in total or 35.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Brookfield employed 11.4% in Construction; 12.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 10.5% in Retail Trade.
