Dominant groups

The size of the City of Melton's labour force aged 15 to 17 years in 2021 was 2,609 persons, of which 1,576 were employed part-time and 113 were full time workers.

Analysis of the employment status of people aged 15 to 17 years (as a percentage of the labour force) in the City of Melton in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Melton shows that there was a lower proportion in employment, and a higher proportion unemployed. Overall, 75.5% of the labour force aged 15 to 17 years was employed and 24.5% unemployed, compared with 93.5% and 6.5% respectively for the total population in the City of Melton.
