Dominant groups

Analysis of the year of arrival for the overseas born Non-English speakers speaking population of the City of Maroondah in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Maroondah shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who arrived before 2010, and a larger proportion of recent overseas arrivals (those who arrived between 2016 and 2021).

Overall, 54.3% of the overseas born Non-English speakers speaking population arrived before 2010, and 22.3% arrived during or after 2016, compared with 66.9% and 15.3% respectively for the total population in the City of Maroondah.

The major differences between the year of arrival data of the Non-English speakers speaking population of the City of Maroondah and the total population in the City of Maroondah were:
