Dominant groups

The size of the City of Maroondah's labour force in low income households in 2021 was 2,500, of which 1,189 were employed part-time and 570 were full time workers.

Analysis of the employment status of people in low income households (as a percentage of the labour force) in the City of Maroondah in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a higher proportion of people in low income households in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 79.0% of the labour force was employed, and 21.0% unemployed, compared with 73.6% and 26.4% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
