Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Croydon South in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (347 people or 14.3%)
  • Construction (323 people or 13.3%)
  • Retail Trade (234 people or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 904 people in total or 37.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Maroondah employed 14.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.8% in Construction; and 9.8% in Retail Trade.
