Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Doncaster East in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,023 people or 14.3%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,632 people or 11.5%)
  • Retail Trade (1,575 people or 11.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,230 people in total or 37.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Manningham employed 14.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 11.1% in Retail Trade.
