Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Templestowe in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,100 people or 14.2%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (940 people or 12.2%)
  • Retail Trade (924 people or 12.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,964 people in total or 38.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Currawong Ward employed 14.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 11.3% in Retail Trade.
