Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Donvale in 2016 compared to City of Manningham shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 40.3% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 9.0% were one-parent families, compared with 39.6% and 9.5% respectively for City of Manningham.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a similar proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 19.2% compared to 18.0% in City of Manningham while the proportion of couples without children was 26.3% compared to 26.2% in City of Manningham.
