Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in New Beith and District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (282 females or 18.6%)
  • Education and Training (224 females or 14.8%)
  • Retail Trade (170 females or 11.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 676 females in total or 44.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Logan City employed 23.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.3% in Education and Training; and 12.0% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of New Beith and District and Logan City were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (14.8% compared to 12.3%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in public administration and safety (7.1% compared to 5.3%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (5.7% compared to 4.5%)
