Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Logan City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (20,695 people or 13.6%)
  • Construction (18,455 people or 12.2%)
  • Retail Trade (15,302 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 54,452 people in total or 35.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, South East Queensland employed 15.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.4% in Construction; and 9.3% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Logan City and South East Queensland were:
