Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in New Beith and District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (355 males or 21.1%)
  • Manufacturing (218 males or 12.9%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (173 males or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 746 males in total or 44.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Meadowbrook employed 15.5% in Construction; 11.5% in Manufacturing; and 11.0% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of New Beith and District and Meadowbrook were:
