Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Forestdale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (179 people or 13.4%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (174 people or 13.0%)
- Manufacturing (119 people or 8.9%)
In combination, these three industries employed 472 people in total or 35.3% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Logan Village employed 18.5% in Construction; 11.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.3% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Forestdale and Logan Village were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (6.4% compared to 4.5%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed in education and training (8.9% compared to 7.1%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed in wholesale trade (4.8% compared to 3.0%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in construction (13.4% compared to 18.5%)
