Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Logan City in 2021 compared to Division 9 shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 33.3% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 14.9% were one-parent families, compared with 44.0% and 10.1% respectively for Division 9.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 19.0% compared to 11.1% in Division 9 while the proportion of couples without children was 22.7% compared to 27.7% in Division 9.
