Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Division 12 in 2021 compared to Crestmead shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 19.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 15.1% were one-parent families, compared with 33.3% and 20.5% respectively for Crestmead.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 28.9% compared to 15.8% in Crestmead while the proportion of couples without children was 22.4% compared to 17.1% in Crestmead.

Emerging groups

The number of households in Division 12 increased by 965 between 2016 and 2021.

The largest changes in family/household types in Division 12 between 2016 and 2021 were:

  • Lone person (+572 households)
  • Couples without children (+162 households)
  • Couples with children (-129 households)
  • One parent families (-70 households)
