Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Livingstone Shire Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,337 people or 13.2%)
  • Education and Training (1,919 people or 10.9%)
  • Construction (1,849 people or 10.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 6,105 people in total or 34.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Rockyview - Glenlee - Glendale employed 13.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.5% in Education and Training; and 9.5% in Construction.
