Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Liverpool LGA in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (10,719 females or 25.3%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (10,129 females or 23.9%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (6,432 females or 15.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 27,280 females in total or 64.4% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 32.3% in Professionals; 20.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 13.3% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Liverpool LGA and Greater Sydney were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (23.9% compared to 20.6%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed as Labourers (7.0% compared to 4.8%)
