Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Lithgow Urban Area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (484 females or 22.7%)
  • Retail Trade (260 females or 12.2%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (250 females or 11.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 994 females in total or 46.7% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Lithgow - Hermitage Flat and District employed 22.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.5% in Retail Trade; and 10.9% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major difference between the jobs held by the female population of Lithgow Urban Area and Lithgow - Hermitage Flat and District was:
