Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Rural North - Marrangaroo in 2021 compared to Lithgow City shows that 88.5% of the households owned at least one car, while 1.2% did not, compared with 85.5% and 7.6% respectively in Lithgow City.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 19.7% of the households owned one car; 36.0% owned two cars; and 32.8% owned three cars or more, compared with 34.1%; 30.7% and 20.7% respectively for Lithgow City.
