Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Wahroonga in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,059 people or 17.0%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,048 people or 16.9%)
  • Education and Training (644 people or 10.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,751 people in total or 44.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Ku-ring-gai Council area employed 14.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 17.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 10.0% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Wahroonga and Ku-ring-gai Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in health care and social assistance (17.0% compared to 14.2%)
