Analysis of the car ownership of people born overseas in the City of Knox in 2011 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that 95.4% of people born overseas were in households that owned at least one car, while 2.9% did not, compared with 87.7% and 9.5% respectively in Greater Melbourne.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion that owned just one car; a larger proportion owned two cars; and a larger proportion that owned three cars or more.
