Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Lysterfield in 2011 compared to the City of Knox shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 63.5% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 8.0% were one-parent families, compared with 40.1% and 11.4% respectively for the City of Knox.
