Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of people in the City of Knox compared to the City of Knox shows that there was a higher proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 6.6% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 5.8% for the City of Knox.

The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Boronia and the City of Knox were:

  • A larger percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (33.2% compared to 30.3%)
  • A larger percentage of persons aged 75 to 79 (18.9% compared to 16.8%)
