Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in South-West Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,648 people or 13.3%)
  • Education and Training (1,440 people or 11.6%)
  • Construction (1,252 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 4,340 people in total or 35.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Sorrento employed 12.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.5% in Education and Training; and 9.4% in Construction.
