Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Mullaloo in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (498 people or 14.8%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (431 people or 12.8%)
  • Education and Training (378 people or 11.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,307 people in total or 38.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Joondalup employed 11.5% in Construction; 13.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 11.0% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Mullaloo and the City of Joondalup were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in construction (14.8% compared to 11.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (7.4% compared to 8.4%)
