Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Iluka in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (439 people or 13.6%)
- Education and Training (344 people or 10.6%)
- Construction (332 people or 10.3%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,115 people in total or 34.5% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, the City of Joondalup employed 13.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.0% in Education and Training; and 11.5% in Construction.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Iluka and the City of Joondalup were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (10.2% compared to 8.4%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in construction (10.3% compared to 11.5%)
