Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Connolly in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (271 people or 13.4%)
  • Education and Training (250 people or 12.4%)
  • Construction (235 people or 11.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 756 people in total or 37.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, South-West Ward employed 13.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.6% in Education and Training; and 10.1% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Connolly and South-West Ward were:
