Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in South-East Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,529 females or 23.1%)
  • Education and Training (1,170 females or 17.7%)
  • Retail Trade (593 females or 9.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,292 females in total or 49.7% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Joondalup employed 22.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 17.1% in Education and Training; and 10.1% in Retail Trade.

The major difference between the jobs held by the female population of South-East Ward and the City of Joondalup was:

  • A smaller percentage of females employed in retail trade (9.0% compared to 10.1%)
