- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (4,148 males or 9.6%)
- Mining (4,019 males or 9.3%)
In combination, these three industries employed 16,329 males in total or 38.0% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, Greater Perth employed 14.3% in Construction; 8.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 9.9% in Mining.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the City of Joondalup and Greater Perth were:
- A larger percentage of males employed in construction (19.0% compared to 14.3%)
